This was made for the Unidos 2021 Jam "A Story Only YOU Can Tell"
This piece was really cathartic for me. It reflects my personal experiences with trying to speak with my family but struggling to find the right words. It's a pretty short experience, but I'm glad I was able to participate in the jam in any way I could :)

This was a beautiful game that really captures so many different feelings in one. As someone who grew up with poor mandarin, I truly relate so much in the depiction of the second language / bilingual fear and anxiety that came with it. I also think that the story with the grandma is written with so much grace and with so much love that I truly loved every second and felt incredibly immersed in the moments. I love it so much!! <3

Thank you for this. Though it's a different language for me, it's incredibly relatable; being unable to talk to one half of your family is painful. The small touches--just saying no, words being an absolute jumble, flashing text of the heartbeat--really helped to sell the experience.
In my case, it's terminal illness, and the drawn-out-ness of that, but the thought of this happening....ow.
